Matthew Allen has served as the evangelist for the Brownsburg church of Christ since August 2003. Before this he worked with congregations in Brownsburg, Indiana (Intern program - 1995-96); Tompkinsville, Kentucky (Cyclone - 1996-97); and Rapid City, South Dakota (Southside - 1997-2003).  Matt is a native of Malvern, Arkansas and attended Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas for three years before devoting his life to preaching.

In addition to conducting gospel meetings and lectureships for churches of Christ throughout the United States, Matt has done evangelistic work in Central America (Corozal, Belize, 1998) and Ukraine (Mariupol, 2003 and 2004). He is the author of a new workbook on the Pastoral Epistles and his writing has appeared in several magazines circulated among members of churches of Christ. Matt is also the author of two new tracts published by Spiritbuilding Publishing.  What is the church of Christ and What to Look for in a Church seek acquaint people with churches of Christ.

Matthew and his wife Becky were married in June 1994. They have a daughter, Emilea, and a son, Zackary.
